At long last I?m delighted to be able to tell you that we?ve got the latest version of the Command Horizon rules ready for free download. ? You can get them from www.commandhorizon.com or from the files section of the Command Horizon Yahoo group.
For those of you yet to try them, the CH rules are designed for large scale SF games, where the player commands a brigade sized force. ?They are very quick to play, (yes, I know everyone says that, but it really is true in this case!), and very quick to pick up and play.
The main changes and additions in v4.0 are:
Rules for Aerospace units and Missions.
New Human vehicles and weapons
A glossary has been added.
Rules and background for the Centaurs.
New unit labels section.
The Aerospace rules literally add another dimension to the game. We?ve worked to integrate this aspect into the main action, rather than it being a separate game with little or no effect on the tabletop action. The Centaurs provide a fascinating challenge to play and to play against. For those of you who are used to playing with Human forces, there are a few nasty surprises coming?
Igor is already ensconced in his corner cackling away to himself as new ideas for the next version are hatched, so be prepared for more updates.
