Is that their final base?

No, we have a few different blisters of Squires coming out. The Light Mech Troop is the smallest of the squires equipped with a weapons fit roughly akin to that of an MBT or a TD. The Medium Mech Troop have heavier weapons, they are more akin to support weapons like artillery and AA but have four legs to give them increased mobility and speed.

We have a design for a heavy mech called the Winged Lancer, which will be Marcovican only and will be a heavily armoured, armed and fast mech which only slightly less powerful than the Small Behemoth. We also have stats (but no design) for a Kon Class Heavy Squire which would be a transport walker. We are still arguing discussing that one though.

We also have a several sprues of melee weapons including chainblades, buzzsaws, armoured fists, EMP lances and other nasty gubbins so may do some medium melee mechs. They would act as a squire version of the Marcovian combat engineers.

Speaking of which... the Medium Mech Troop.

Featuring two Hurricane Squires to the left with AA weapons, and two Hussar Squires to the right with tactical missiles.

Random fact: The legs on the Hussar/Hurricane squires are the perfect size for a Defiler conversion...

The Light Mech Troop will be released in June, the Medium Mech Troop will be released at the same time or soon after (we are having a few issues at present with the EMP lance (not pictured) on the melee sprue alongside the armoured gauntlet.)

I'm using different legs but it should affect the height dramatically. I've asked WMN for a group shot.

The miniatures are already en route to the UK, så unfortunately no comparison shots just yet. But the miniatures are just a tiny bit shorter than the plastic Epic Knights. They may seem a bit smaller since they do not come with the tall slottabase. From memory i think they measure in at about 25mm. The small and medium knights are the same height, but the four legged version obviously looks a bit bulkier. The legs on both versions are interchangable, so you can do a number of different poses. And as mentioned earlier and speaking as a modeller, the Hussar legs come in very handy for anyone looking to build a Defiler proxy. They measure up very well to the OOP Otterforge model.

We'll be showing off the miniatures at the UK Games Expo, so look out for them there :D.

I could use a few of those for my Mini Mech game.. Historicon is in July. Hopefully I'll be able to get some before.
