The ranks of the Royal Empire Infantry form a massed defence against all who would threaten mankind. Poorly equipped and ill trained, the conscripts fight with a fervour and dedication that belies their humble origins. Few aliens survive underestimating the power of the Royal Empire as it fights to spread the purity of Man across the galaxy.

A typical company will feature 120 infantry.

My aging eyes are having trouble discerning the figures on even the blown-up image- do they have gas masks on? ie for what would they be good proxies (krieg etc)?

Ah yes!
What We've all been waiting for!

However, do discuss further: we've seen some lovely flamer and shotgun armed troops, as well as aritllery loaders and leadership sprues: when might these be released?

They do indeed have gas masks, more variants are certainly an avenue we are investigating. No timescale though.

I'm finding the photo is rather hard to make out also.
Personally, I'd use the Royal Empire Heavy Infantry for Krieg (actually very nice and well executed sculpts) , and the Royal Empire Infantry for traitor guard (since they are apparently sans-greatcoats).

If you go to the Exodus website, you can Zoom in on the pics and see more detail ... ;)

It doesn't blow up any more than the photo here. The pictures are kinda a shame, I find that the heavy infantry figs I purchased look better than the online photos if that helps anyone that is considering a purchase. On the bright side, just having pictures from a 6mm supplier is appreciated.

yes, but that is not a price-efficient way of buying an army worth of infantry,
it comes with too many heavy weapons for bulk purchase (i'd need about 2 out of the 8, even with fire support squads factored in) which bumps the price point up (on top of being models i wont need, they're also bigger, and thus costlier)
plus they come in small bundles, rather than big ones like the infantry company, which also bumps the price-per-infantryman up

We are looking at getting a sergeant done for them and the moment we find someone with some spare time we'll commission them. The idea is that we'll have a company sized formation of light infantry (all with coats)
