We will indeed, as the painted pictures come in we'll put the products straight onto the online store for pre-order, each product will then join our two week release cycle.

Haha, we are selling the basic infantry in packs of 60 men so you shouldn't need too many. 12 stands of goodness.

The first formation sold will be the Royal Empire Assault Infantry.

Now painted up :). They'll be released on the 1st August. Conscripts are coming, expect them on the 14th August and 1st of September respectively.

Any chance of a larger photo? You can't really much make out the detail in that.

a question, if i may, and please, dont think me rude or demanding, i ask with the utmost respect.

why wait for a painted version of the product before putting it up for sale?

we dont buy them painted, and while painting is prettier (and tends to highlight detail a bit better than a quick blackwashing) most of us are (and have been) quite happy to buy stuff with unpainted models as the picture. i know i'll be buying a fair bunch of conscripts already, the paintjob is unlikely to sway me one way or the other (a fact i assume is fairly true of most 'early adopters') so why am i waiting a month extra for some guy to paint some up first?

(especially true in this case, cause i wont be buying any assault infantry until the regular conscripts, who will be the bulk of my next order, come out. i'm not saying i'll buy them tomorrow if you put them up there, hell, i mightnt buy them for another month or more anyway, i should probably be hoarding my money a bit at the moment anyway, but i do wonder why the delay)

Fair comment.

We have to cater for all of our customers. Whilst a large number of our customers come from these boards and are fervent fans. We have customers across the globe and distributors as well, these are harder to sell too and require the right level of promotional material. Especially when advertising painted models are a commercial must.

The reason why we space our releases out to one every two weeks is that we want a regular release schedule. I'd to release products the second we get them (as we did in the past) but sometimes we have a multitude of products to sell and other months we have nothing. In the past that was fine but we are a growing company that is expanding rapidly and as such have had to start taking a more professional outlook.

When EW started in 2005, we had a couple of infantry formations with one sculptor and now we've grown to a company which has a huge product range, distributors, full time staff and some of the best (if not the best) 6mm sculptors you can get.

Our release schedule is packed out and things are looking bright for the range :D.

Hmmm... that may be my most rambling ramble yet.
