Ok cool. It's supposed to help most especially with getting rid of bubbles in the deeper extremities of the mould.

That must be an old trick; I've heard it too (though not tried it).

Another is to use an old (disposable) brush and paint the resin into the mould first, before then completing the pour using a syringe for the remaining resin. This ensures all the cast faces are covered, and that any bubbles from the rest of the resin are largely popped as the resin is squirted gently from the syringe into the mould. I think a number of ex-Rackham sculptors use a similar technique when making limited runs of their own sculpts for collectors, as I'm sure I got the method from one of their websites a while back.

Yes, I use a variation of that one.

Resin prototypes should be en route. However by the looks of it the design may need to be altered slightly as there seems to me some casting issues. The aim is still to release the model this year, but obviously the model needs to have those problems ironed out before anything is put into production :)

Got the resin masters, popping down to the factory this weekend. Seems unlikely it'll cast as is though. We may need to add a nicer flat area to sprue off on.

Latest update is that the tail snapped off whilst investment casting. This has been rectified and it is bronzing. It should be shipped to the UK shortly and then Dom will be driving down to the factory to get it cast up with the speed of an electrified whippit.

*Exodus Wars does not condone the electricution of animals, even whippits.

I would have thought electrified as in excited? Which of course could not be to the advantage of exodus wars - a case of less haste, more speed and similar.

Waiting to place a largish EW order including these... and whippets are a fine breed of animal to have as a pet, even if they can outrun you when you're riding a bike.

Whippet - whippet good!
