It depends where DFEOJM is located. It will use the DNS records of the closest DNS server to it's location. Given that there are 12 (?) DNS servers covering 1/12 of the globe, and the site is down for some sections of the world, I would say that the individual DNS entries on one or two DNS servers was the error, while the one covering - for example - here in the UK is fine, as I can access the site. If the EW site is down for areas covered by the South East Asia DNS server, and DFEOJM is running of a server in SE Asia, it would appear down for them too.

Ummm.... No. Unlikely. La-la-la. Rejecting facts that counter my theory! I suspect that this is a different issue of browser scripting.



Afraid that I don't. And, I assume that it is dependant on your domain registrar. The only way I would think wuld be to change the DNS lookup result, wait for it to propagate and then change it back.

I wonder if it could be an issue with Google's DNS servers? Android phones might conceivably be set up to use those.

Switching to openDNS could solve it if that's the Trouble ...

It's not my server - so I'm a bit limited, but I noticed that www http://steel-crown-productions.hostedbyamazon.co.uk is wrong, removed the http:// and will see what happens in 1D12 hours when DNS updates.

Either way at least it will be doing a global DNS update... might shift something.
