Perhabs. Or you replace the Basilisk's gun with a piece of a toothpick. Should have the right size. :D

At that price, noone is ever going to use the Xeno Fighters upgrade (I also think it's not needed at Epic scale).

Conscripts should probably be Initiative 3+.

What would be a more sensible price?

Hm yes. Conscripts should have  Initiative 3+ forgot to put it in.

I don't think it's worth including, especially in such a way that it unbalances the army (More powerful against orks, but worse against other armies because they're more expensive).

Leave it out.

This  is the intention. And it is optional so players can choose to not pay the points for it.

V1.9 now downloadable here.

Changes:
- Initiative 3+ for Hive Militia Conscript Company.
- removed the redundant notes section fromthe Medusa.

Currently i'm thinking about adding the Leman Russ Executioner to the Tank Squadron upgrade...should i? Or would it be too much in competition with the Medusa?

It's not worth having.

*Especially* if it's an optional upgrade.

I could drop the upgrade for Mechanised and Infantry Companies to +50pts, for Setinels to +15pts and the Strategyrating upgrade to +75pts.

I too am extremely against the Xeno fighters rule. Can you imagine it used in a tournament?

"Hey, I'll spend hundreds of points on an ability that I only have a slim chance of gaining any benefit from!"

Not only that, but it's a 40k scale rule that doesn't deserve replication in Epic.

Agreed, leave it out.

Concentrate on mirroring the Epic scale aspects of the Steel Legion, not the 40k scale aspects.

At least the Strategyrating is the Epic aspect. The Steel Legions commanders know how Orks think and what strategy they will use. So they are more adept to act against Orks.

The idea of a special rule that only works against one race troubles me greatly. Leave it out, it's unneccesary and unballanced.

If you want them to have a better SR, give them one, but don't make it dependant on who they play against. That sort of rock, paper, scissors is best left for 40k.

The old CI stats are here.

Personally I reckon a toned down version might work.

OK I've taken a look at the list and here are my critiques:

- Typo : Hive Miltia Conscripts are 2+ Initiative, they should be 3+.

- Rather than having the Infantry Co. as core, move it to Support, and drop the unweildy 'one per' limit. This also ensures that all core formations are at the least mechanised (This being the Steel Legion's iconic role)

- Mechanised Infantry Platoon --- Remove it. It's unnessesary and is already represented through the 'extra infantry' upgrade option.

- Super-Heavy Tanks --- Why no Stormblade? I think it should go in.

- Snipers -- Allow 1 or 2 units as the upgrade, with +25pts for each.

- Typo 'These unit?s formations' remove the apostraphy from "unit's".

- Xeno Fighters Special Rule --- Remove it.

- Leman Russ Tank Company - I'd drop the basic cost of the formation to 625pts, and make the Vanquisher a +25pt upgrade... the 'free upgrade' structure from the core rulebook is a nonesense.

- Yes Conscripts should have initiative 3+.

- Is an option.

- You think this formation is unessecary?

- I found no reference, that the Stormblade is used by the Steel Legion.

- Ok

- lol ok :D

- *sigh* When i must....i will remove it. But it is a fluff based Upgrade which isn't mandatory. So it won't hurt anyone if it stays in there. If you don't like it just don' use the upgrade.

Going from AP4+/AT4+ to AP4+/AT2+ really isn't worth 25 points!
