OK, got the link working finally - please let me know if you can see it as well. I just saw there is a spelling error in there, maybe a few more - I have corrected it, but it isn't in the version I have saved to my online space.
Hope you like it.

All I can say is..."U da man!"
That is outstanding. I've been working on a lot of the text and I will be emailing you shortly.
Again, very, very good.

OK guys, I uploaded the newest version with the first 5 pages or so. I'll try to continue work on it tomorrow - but it's almost time to go Salsa dancing (yes, I am a Salsa dancer) - but you'll kind of see where I am heading.
Hopefully I will be able to get all the other units done tomorrow - I'm even toying with the idea of creating a whole page on the Valkyrie stats with various options, and another page on the Vulture with various options?
Since there are stats for all the weapons, how would you guys feel about making our Vultures and Valkyries with hardpoint options - and listing out all options for the single hardpoint on the Valkyrie and the A and B hardpoint on the Vulture? Not sure, but it might be cool.
I envision the final list having a page or so on detailed history - maybe something from the old WD article combined with IA3? Not sure on that part yet. Then we'll have our rules section (Iron Discipline, Demo Charge, Commissars, etc). After that will be the detailed units that you see the beginings of - and finally the army list itself. I've got some ideas for a cover page type thing as well. Once I'm done, how would we get this posted on the Specialist Games site for everyone to peruse, download, and try out? Can anyone give me a contact of who I would use to get that done?
I have a few more graphics to use (you've probably seen them all) but I would like to know if anyone can scan some of the color images from IA1 of the Vulture/Valkyrie - and maybe a profile shot of the Vulture in one of the cool camo schemes from one of the books? Not sure - but if anyone has any nice color pics of IG that might be nice for this - I'm happy to take a look at them.
Hope you like how it is coming along.

CosmS,
Let's hold off on the various versions for right now. We still have a lot of testing to do on core units and our focus needs to stay on those areas.
Regarding getting the list posted, there is a process and I'm working on finding out what we have to do to make that happen.
Let's keep in mind, this list has only seen two battles, of which only one was against another live opponent. I expect that we will need to put in our testing time and then the list will be reviewed by the ERC. Depending on the results of that review, then we'll know whether we hit the big time or not. I'm also planning an article, supported with a battle report for submission to SG.
So, we have our work ahead of us, but the professional presentation that you lend to the list certainly makes it look like we know what we are doing.

Looks pretty good!
Found a number of spelling errors but i understand how easy they crop up. I'm glad to see this list is rolling forwards and let me put my hand up to help test it!
I'm still to finish of my DT army but i'll get into testing once you guys have got the initial stats etc sorted. A list like that will make playtesting a pleasure.

May i ask why no snipers? I would have thought they were very valuable assets to a drop troop force?
When answering remember that FW has made some very cool snipers for its own force. It would be a shame to miss out on them in 6mm scale.
Thanks

I would go easy on the stats but otherwise fantastic job - would you be open to doing other army lists?

Whew, back from dancing.
I think snipers are supposed to be in there - I just missed them. There are a bunch of mistakes in there, spelling, some stats got listed wrong - one of the notes sections is all messed up. The trials and tribulations of having to do this, and no spell checker in Photoshop that I know of.
I should hopefully have a finished list tomorrow, depending on how much time I get to work on it - I think what you see took about eight hours to put together.
I might be able to work something up for other armies - depends on what the project entails. I am really into the idea of getting this list done, and professionally put together - so for me to spend a ton of hours on it - is more of joy than anything.
I'm also working to paint my Forgeworld Valkyries and Vultures for the list as well. Maybe the last page can be sample models from our armies or something - although that type of work usually ends up being a royal pain - but maybe after everything else gets done.
Hopefully you'll see a new list tomorrow night.

Really nice. I will be doing something similar for the Tau list as soon as I can. I would be careful about copyright pictures though - I am not sure how GW would view it.
Great stuff.

I thought about that, but all those pictures are readily available in a few places. And seeing as we aren't publishing it for money, just wanting to publish it to the Specialist Games site - I don't know if it would matter. If in the future someone did make a stink about it, I can always remove them - but I think for now they add a cool element, and make it look nice.

Quote (Cosmic Serpent @ 19 Mar. 2006 (17:07)) | I thought about that, but all those pictures are readily available in a few places. | That doesn't make it okay to use them.
The artist (who probably is trying to make a living from his painting) likes to get paid for his work.
The images are still copyrighted and not for free use. And seeing as we aren't publishing it for money, | That doesn't make a difference, you would still be infringing copyright just wanting to publish it to the Specialist Games site - I don't know if it would matter. |
Actually if you only did publish it on the SG site you could argue that you are not infringing GW's copyright as it is in theory GW stuff on a GW site.
However publishing it on this site or your own space would be seen as copyright infringement.
Also remember that SG may not have the rights to use the images even if they were created by another branch of GW (say Black Library) as the artist may have only given rights for the image to be used in a very particular or specific way.
Best option is to create your own images (ie photographs of your models) rather than use GW artwork.
It would be a pity to have a stink created when it can so easily be avoided.
