No - as you can point it, apply it to certain units etc. Perhaps if the possibility of 2 leaders is too much (orks, infantry horde, assualts, lots of leaders :) ) drop the commissars for free and make them a paid for upgrade.

Barring that, if the community really wants these guys to rally easier than normal IG, then they should probably be able to ignore the -1 modifier for having enemy within 30cm. That caps the rally roll at 4+ (right?), which would be acceptible to most players, I would think.

Even the fluff could support what I suggest. I mean, these guys are Airborne, right? They're used to being surrounded.

I really like this idea. You're right; if they're airborne they should be used to operating surrounded by the enemy.

So, now we are changing how the IG Commissar rule works? I not inclined to go down that path.

Ok, quick ruling here to keep us moving:

Iron Discipline

Any formation containing at least one unit with Iron Discipline will require 1 additional blast marker beyond the norm in order to break. In addition, when a formation with Iron Discipline attempts to regroup, they will ignore the -1 modifer for troops within 30cm, regardless of broken status. The formation may be suppressed as normal.

Lock 'er down John.

Agree with everything you say here... brilliant.

Now we'll have something to playtest on this front.

Thanks for the decision.

cheers,

I will write it in as Honda has put it, may modify the text slightly - but that is going to be the rule.
