A Vostroyan regiment army list first release is up here for your consideration

Vostroyan Army List 0.2

They are a regiment trained in urban warfare with better than usual wargear, thus have 6+ save on infantry units units and access to Taurox transports with Walker (all terrain vehicle) and CRASSUS ARMOURED ASSAULT CARRIERS, at expense of number of units in a regular infantry formation, and heavy bolters replacing autocannons, thus they should be slightly defensively disadvantaged, favouring attacking into terrain. In theory. Lascannon heavy support squads replace autocannon heavy support squads, with the option to use flamer support weapon squads instead, for FF4+ support units.
Other items have expanded war machine and tank options befitting friends of forge worlds :nooo , and some modernised storm troopers in the form of Militarum Tempest Scions- who are very much the same, with Taurox Prime transport options.

really wish new lists would start using the current AMTL weapon stats (Gatling blaster specifically) but that's a personal gripe on consistency with the new baseline
nice to see the taruox get a wee bit of love even if it's a chimera w/walker in all but name. I like the swap to heavy bolters just because it switches things up.
Since Stormtrooper is the Low Gothic form of Militarum Tempestus Scions I don't see the need to muddle the waters.

I'm digging it!

Fixed the gat, and the lord marshall having an at4 lascannon and minor formatting.

It has been brought up that having 2 lots of inspiring in a unit could be controversial because it doesn't happen often- I'd prefer if it was controversial due to being proven busted- but if anyone has alternative ideas to represent urban warfare drilling and 'good in a firefight because great uncle vlad's leading the charge' without giving then ff4+ or a special rule, I am open to options.

Give them 6+ armour save. That probably grants the +1 for the assault just like inspiring but it's based on dice, not FF4+, nor special rule and less controversial.
And hey, they are tough space cossacks with first class equipment compared to other usual Imperial Guardsmen! ;)

Cool! Don't forget to bump the WL by 25 for the improved weapon.

spotted an error on the Crassus notes. It should carry 7 stands, not 6. I've confirmed against my copy of IA 11 just to make sure I was not mistaken pre-caffeine (also we've got it that way in other lists so you know...consistency :D)

Or give them the Leader ability like in the Tau-lists, basically the formation has leader instead of individual stands.

Cheers all i will look over those notes, 6+ does also suit them as using carapace doctrine even if it isnt 5+ but does also benefit them being shot at if they are silly enough to not use cover. You are right in that they ought to be saving 1/6 units in return combat.

No worries mate.
The Crassus is proving to be a troublesome beast to balance against the chimeras in the Heavy Mech list. 2DC is nowhere near as robust as a gorgons 3, so you kind of have to spam them to make them work. But they're not that different to a spartan so I guess you know all this :D.

Those Taurox seem like a very interesting transport option.

I have updated the top document to 0.2 with a perhaps more palatable 6+ INF save and those above fixes.

I had a possible option to replace the 6+ save, or the leadership thing like tau or the 2 x inspiring witha rule where they ignore the -1 morale roll modifier for enemy within 30cm. You could even have it set so it works if they are in an urban area if you want. Just another option to think about.

Nice list!

I think generally points are a little high and can be trimmed with testing or in line with the other Guard lists (this is a good place to start!), particularly the aircraft.

Whatever the variant there are certain formations that if you include them as options they will always be taken which can undermine the variety you’re trying to introduce (though some continuity is nice). For Guard these formations are Shadowswords (individuals in particular), Sentinels, Deathstrikes, and Thunderbolts, just something to keep in mind!

Both Taurox are very good! Walker on AVs is powerful. Something to keep an eye on!

I really like the list, the presentation is beautiful!
