Ha ha oops!
Yes, 1-3 additional platoons for the infantry company. Not 2-3.

The Praetor Sky-KIller is one of the platoon options you can include in a Hvy Tank Company (or in Hvy Mech Infantry Companies). Hydras, not being WarEngines, can be selected as a target independently and so can be sniped out of an otherwise all WE formation. Having several small AA formations with the firepower of the Sky-Killers can be somewhat overpowered, unless the points go so high that you can't really afford to take them.

Think that summarises my thinking. Matt_C will doubtless have his views too.

If hydra to the rear or centre of W/E their LoS will be blocked so cant be sniped, but would provide air cover. Besides hit allocation/damage stems front to rear so what would snipe it?

When shooting at a mixed AV/WE formation you can choose to target the AVs or the WEs

More important is the theme here methinks. This is a warengine and troops list

Even if Los is blocked?

Yes that is certainly true. But the Hydra can still be targeted by an air attack because the WE does not block LOS in that case. And if the formation has a BM on it already then the Hydra is suppressed and can't provide AA cover.

But mostly I think it would look silly having armoured vehicles hiding up in contact with bigger armoured vehicles (war engines). Don't mind infantry doing it, . . . So for me this is mostly about theme.

And I do see your point. Giving a formation of armoured vehicles without warengines - infantry in Chimeras or Leman Russ tank sqadrons - Hydras makes sense. So perhaps the Hydra upgrade option might go in as an alternative AA option for where there are no warengines in a formation.

Actually having been poking around with this list from the get go it was the original theme which has sadly IMHO been somewhat dilluted in recent revisions with Chimeras and what not.

Been on holiday chaps but:
Theme, has been somewhat diluted with the chimeras in. This was partly as a selfish excercise to use the variable company structure as a test bed. And partly because there is canon on the two together. Personally I don't mind having a few in the list, but I don't really feel that strongly either way to be honest.

I've toned the ground based AA right back as per Andrews comments above, plus others.

Hellhounds cost 100 in other list, surely the upgraded vehicles would incur the cost?

So...
2 and a half years and over 300 downloads later, has anyone got any feedback?
It would be helpful to know what people think.

I suspect that many of those are search bots. I have a bunch of PDFs on my website for a variety of different game systems and they all have the exact same number of downloads.
