Okay, let's get some things straight, Matt.
They are antennas, not aerials.
They are cookies, not biscuits.
You turn on your windshield wipers, not windscreen wipers.
It's not real tea unless it comes with ice in it.
And stop putting the letter 'U' where it doesn't belong (ex. labour, armour, Space Mariune, Warhammeur 40uK, United Kingdom, et ceterua).

I see I have a lot of work to do. I am indeed thankful that converting the colonies back to the Queen's English is a labour of love for me

BTW, insects have antenna, radios have aerials. Insects carrying radios have both.

LMAO - if that is allowed.
Or perhaps "What ho, Jolly good sport!"

I commend any endeavours to remove obfuscation, while re-introducing the correct spelling and usage of the Queen's English. Keep it up Matt!

At school we had great fun with the French master, who made the same mistake writing the translation of L'ane on the blackboard - happy memories
:D

At my last Epic weekend, I played the Elysians in three different games. Modified with the auto-CAP for turn 1, SR3, and Support Sentinels at a 30cm/60cm indirect range.

Game 1: 4000 points standard tourney vs. Steel Legion. We called it at turn 3 to be effectively tied. We were pressed for time and the board was arranged in such a way that turn 4 was going to be tough for both of us.

Game 2: 2v2 Elysians & Orks vs. Steel Legion & Chaos. Called it at turn 2 because it was late and the place was closing. It was leaning our way but not by much.

Game 3: 3000 points Elysians vs. Biel-tan Eldar. Went to turn 4 in one of the bloodiest games I have ever played. Final score was Elysians 1695, Eldar 1500.

Feedback from the opponents was good. Nothing really raised any eyebrows. Vendettas were clearly a no-brainer choice for me and as such may appear overpowered, BUT.... In my game against the Eldar (the player brought primarily infantry) I actually ran out of AT targets, rendering my Vendettas and most aircraft shots useless. So there is a limiter built into them which I like.

SR 3 seemed to help - not a lot but it was there. The auto-CAP was probably the biggest assist to the army list and really helped them survive.

I am going on a sabbatical of undetermined length for personal reasons involving family. As such, I am handing over AC-ship of the Elysians to Moscovian.

I regret having to bow out at this time, but it is the correct thing to do.

Cheers,

I've been chit-chatting with Honda on the Elysians and I think that the latest changes have been very helpful in bringing the list into balance- at least for me. I would love to see people play with the list more with these new changes to verify whether or not they work.
Strategy Rating 3
Auto-CAP 1 air formation in lieu of a garrison
Changing interceptor formation to 2 strong (with option to increase them) <---- thanks, Signal!!
Support Sentinels (range 30cm, 60cm indirect)

I'll add these to the army list hopefully in the next 1-2 weeks, but I am waiting on info from Honda's gaming group. If you have information or suggestions that need to be included, please speak up now.

sorry to hear that Honda, hope things get better soon. Good job on handing the ACship over so promptly, even if it is to an American who can't spell properly. I do have a spare bags of "U"s he can liberally sprinkle around to make up for it though.

Mosc, I'll give that a whirl next time I get a Vassal game in, unless you fancy one yourself?

that Oatmeal comic still makes me laugh. Another one (amongst many) that I like is http://theoatmeal.com/comics/online_gaming
