List is here

Not entirely happy with the Elysian list's strictly 40k-adherent posture, I've decided to create my own airborne list, with the intent of solving some of the issue I have with it. Please post any suggestions or advice

Design Intent:
1) Present a versatile core selection, which is capable of deploying as Air Cavalry, Teleporting, or Aircraft-delivered formations.
2) Fix the imbalance between the Tauros and Tauros Venator, by restricting the latter to the Twin-Lascannon variant.
3) Reintroduce the use of Support Sentinels, and allow a dedicated 'artillery' formation which makes use of consolidated mortars.
4) Allow for Air Cavalry without having to track dozens of individual rocket pods.
5) Avoid potentially abusive mechanics (Iron Discipline's ignoring the -1 to rally within 30cm) while still mitigating the same issue.

well, my initial thoughts are that a 4 lighting unit is probably worth more than 300 points, thats got some pretty serious interception potential.
i also really like the transport option on the bomber, i have been considering something similar myself after reading Double Eagle. so shall watch with interest

the lightnings are actually nabbed straight from the Elysian list, but I don't necessarily disagree. It's largely to compensate for the almost complete absence of ground-based AA, the only availabe in this list is a 50-point infantry unit that gives you a 30cm AA6+

Anyone else have any input? I'm mostly looking for opinions re: Specialists and their Meltaguns, Transport Valkyrie variants, Skylift and Courage under Fire special rules.

Oh, and I forgot to put snipers as an available upgrade, same restrictions and cost as the standard Steel Legion one.
