Post subject:  Core IG Month regiment - Cadians
This is for an infantry based Cadian list to fill the 'infantry void' currently for Guard in Epic.

I would ask all interested parties to finish discussion and list consolidation by the end of the week and get lots of games in by the end of the month!

It's main companies are foot-sloggers, with a mechanized HQ (will be making the Chimeras optional in the next iteration.), but they do have armour support in upgrades and platoons, plus fortifications and such.

Yes, as long as the SC doesn't have to be mechanised (and it sounds like he doesn't have to be).

This seems interesting but the thread went exactly nowhere.

Is the only problem with the Steel Legion as an 'infantry' list the fact that the SC has Chimeras?

Because the Steel Legion does a pretty good approximation on Infantry Swarm.

As I recalled, the Cadian Regiments are more like a World War II Soviet Army Combined arms units, e.g. lot of tanks supported by foot infantry. There were a lot of them and were easier to mobilize than a mechanized infantry unit.

Steel Legion units are more like the heavy brigades of the U.S. Army with mechanized infantry units that include IFVs, tanks, and self propelled artillery.
