Another noodge moment here:

There's some wording that can be troublesome when reading (especially when contrasted with wording styles in other lists). A representative example->
Airborne Kasrkin One IG Commander unit, seven Kasrkin units, and four Valkyries 325 points

So is this wording mean I get 7 stands and one IG commander character OR is it to be read as 8 stands and one IG commander character? I argue the latter but people in my group have pointed out the wording is consistently different for other lists for indicating a stand with a character. I retort that other lists use the word character while here we have unit, hence an additional stand. Discussion descends into rules lawyering and that's that.

IG commanders are units, not characters. They have their own stats.

Indeed if you want mech inf the best list to use is the Steel Legion mech inf list.

Yeah I told them to STFU with exactly that point. Glad to know I'm on the right side of the E&C fence! :)

I've seen my emails but I'm restricted to phone typing for the next week... House hunting 200 miles from home so not quite a vacation.

Is it possible to use a Capitol Imperialis model for the Mobile Command Centre?

I'd be fine with it. The visible weapons loadout is different, but using the "counts as" rule is perfectly acceptable in this case, IMO.

Thanks for that - do you know what most people use for the "Ordintaus Cadia" at all?

TBH, I don't. You could ask E&C - he was converting one last I heard. I haven't gotten around to it myself. The Tigerclaw from Plasmablast Games would work pretty well.

I've used a pair of Baneblade tracks, with Plasma Destructors mounted on top of them held up by bits of metal sprue, and a chimera to drag them along.

That's pretty big, E&C - gotta be what, 12cm long? I was thinking of doing someting like Vaaish's, but with two Manchu track units and a Chimera Tractor unit - though I guess that would only reduce the length by a cm or so. Maybe only a single BB track and a tractor unit for Majori. I really ought to get cracking on that.

13cm long. :-)

Ordinati Majori are described as being the length of a city block... my scratchbuild actually is that size.

I suppose another one of the Ordinatus' could be used? Do you have a picture E&C?
