I didn't realize the Chem-dogs and Ork Hunters were in this. They look a few versions old though.

They were in the original NetEA Draft document and grandfathered into this one.

Would you mind removing them? When I have a chance to test them properly I'll put them forward but I don't think armies so untested really need to be in the compendium. If anyone is interested in them I'll just direct them to the wiki.

Consider them gone!

Hi again!

I saw that there are no stats for the DKoK Marauder heavy bomber in IN pdf. Can I find the stats anywhere else?

Edit: I just saw that there's two versions of the IN pdf. I found the newer one in the "Other forces" subforum and it has the Heavy bomber aswell.

Well in Epic: Siege of course...but in Imperial Navy Draft is where all the planes are! =)

Quite late in the day but....

Since EUK put their Warhounds up to 275pts people have been having difficulties finding the odd 25pts to make up numbers. Since the NetEA list and EUK list are the same (the differences are stats) I was curious to see if long time NetEA have found the same problem?

The proposed EUK change is to make the sniper upgrade choice 1-2 rather than 2, with the idea that hopefully we'll see more snipers too.

I have no influence on EUK lists, it's not my idea, but I see no reason not to borrow it if there is a demand for a 25pt upgrade.

There is no doubt it would be handy, especially as Mech Inf have a spare transport slot, I can't see it being game breaking though.

Thoughts?

Haven't made many IG lists but I haven't heard any issues. Maybe its not broken? But I;m easy either way...

IIRC that 25pt snipers change was an old change proposed by TRC that should have been in the NetEA lists for years now.
I've no idea why it didn't make it into the Armies Book.

Another idea to get 25pt breaks into the list is to drop Hellhounds to 125pts, which TRC has apparently tested extensively with Siegemasters, and we've used in the Krieg list, finding both balanced.
Considering the rarity of Hellhounds, I expect they'd be fine at 125pts in the Steel Legion list.

The only formation in the guard list who's cost isn't divisible by 50 is the Warhound, the only ways to make up the 25pts is to either mechanise a Sniper or Infantry Platoon upgrade (which are uncommon), or take a second Warhound. Its not broken it's just not good list design.

Point taken.....Stupid 25 points increments!!

Meh....Maybe? Hellhounds I guess aren't seen much due to other things being better? Maybe try both Rug?

Is there any viability in a heavy dragoons style list, akin to the Vostroyan First born or the Royal Volpone/Bluebloods?

It would be quite cool if in the future the Taccoms community did a Sabbat Worlds Crusade supplement...... I know E&C has something in progress at the moment but maybe after that?

There are certainly a wide variety of Guard armies featured in the Sabbat Worlds Campaign, and also Inquisition forces... plus they face off against several types of traitor and Chaos armies.

I'd be inclined to suggest making a new Campaign setting though, as otherwise there's no scope for writing a story, you'd have to stick closely to what's already known. But the idea of doing a "big campaign" supplement rather than a "single planet" supplement is cool IMO.

Supplements I'm aware of being actively worked on right now are Epic: Clash (Mine), Epic: Xenos, and Epic: Nemesis.
There are also several less active projects.

There certainly is, but not yet, I'd like to see the Elysians set in stone before another guard list starts vying for attention.

Hehe, yup I can definitely understand that :D

In the mean time the Cadian list is probably the closest to what your alluding to, if we can get that one a bit closer to finished it would put us in a strong position to make a heavy mechanised infantry lists (the Cadians have Kasrkin mounted in Chimera).

The issue with the cadian list is that the kasrkin are very short ranged in nature, favouring plasma guns, which is good for representation of storm troopers (Considering the last comment, Vitrian Dragoons would fit very well too)

Where as certainly the Vostroyan's and possibly the bluebloods too (It has been too long since I have read the books) favour a more traditional squad setup, with heavy weapons as well.

I shall bide my time till some of the others are more settled though :D

I"m having a bit of trouble wrapping my brain around this for the Minervans:

"SPECIAL RULE – Leman Russ Variants
The Minervan Tank Legion makes use of many different types of Leman Russ
tanks, each with their own strengths and weakness.

The following point values to determine the cost of specific tank formations as the
army is created."

The Tank Company is 425 points. I had assumed that this was for a default company of vanilla Leman Russes. However, this follows the above quote:

STANDARD VARIANTS COST RARE VARIANTS COST
Leman Russ +20 points Leman Russ Destroyer +70 points
Leman Russ Conqueror +10 points Leman Russ Executioner +20 points
Leman Russ Demolisher +20 points Leman Russ Vanquisher +45 points
Leman Russ Exterminator +10 points
Leman Russ Thunderer Free

So, does that make the Tank Company of vanilla Leman Russes cost...625 points? Wow.

Also, to point your attention at the first quote:

"The following point values to determine the cost of specific tank formations as the
army is created."

I read that, and maybe my English is different from everyone elses, but this doesn't even smack as a complete sentence.

My brain hurts.
