Chap back home is starting up a white scars army and asked me what the current stats plus experimental rules were for them. So I knocked up the following army list and unit reference - is it correct? I have lost track of White Scar disscussion a fair bit but remember playing against them a number of times.

Was the proposal for the bike formations to cut the points to 350 for 8 or 375?

Also added in the various bits of experimental stuff for marines in general and made the transport rule clearer I hope.

The Transport section on the Land Raider seems to be a little off, or is that a proposed change?

Transport (may carry one of the following units: Tactical, Devastator & Scout units).

The costing of the LR is what came out of discussion IIRC.  The current SG WS list makes terminators pretty unuseable (unless you like large point sinks :p).  Assuming that the combined unit cost of terminators + LR for WS is correct (ie 650), and it seems fair given the loss of teleport, the best way to split the unit is to include the discount on the LR rather than terminators, otherwise the WS list wuold become full of thawk terminators of doom.

The discusion also had WS bikes at 375 for 8 as this seemed the fairest cost given their abilities.  I also proposed the addition of a new, cheap character for 25 pts that had leader and +1 attacks (with the purpose of filling the 25pt hole and giving a bit of difference to WS), however opinions were very mixed on this(actually, most people werent really for it). In retrospect theres probably enough 50pt units in the list to even things out (ie 2 WS bikes plus something for x50 pts).

I don't think there's a consensus opinion on 350 v 375.

Basic bikes are 40 points each.  350 points for 8 is 43.75 per bike.  375 is 46.875 per bike.  The question is what Walker and a larger formation size is worth.

My gut tells me that 350 would be fine.  Even if it's a little bit cheap, that just favors bike formations in a White Scars lost.  I think that's not unreasonable.

OTOH, my conservative streak says make modest changes and go with 375.

I would agree with 350 being right as it also offsets the loss of flexibility in the list.   I just remember there being a fair bit of opposition.  Poll?
