Boltguns, or bolt pistols + close combat weapon.
From memory - they can also take up to two asault weapons (meltas, flamers).
The sergeant can take stuff from the armourty.
They also have grenade options.
I'll check later on.

Suqat is equipped with boltguns or boltpistol + close combat weapon.

The whole squat can have frag- and krakgrenates and crux terminatus.
1 marine can have a heavy bolter, a missile launcher, a multi-melta, a lascannon,a  plasma cannon, a pair of lightning claws or a power fist.
1 marine can have a flamer, a meltagun, a plasmagun or a power weapon.

Seageant can have crux terminatus and then has access to more equipment.

Must have one of the following veteran abilities: furious charge, tank-killer or infiltrator.

So when transfering these options into Epic would people prefer to have a unit similar to a tactical squad with slightly increase CC ablity? or a slower moving verison of really hard hitting assault troops?

If they are going to become an actual seperate unit in Epic, one might as well base the stats on a really tooled up squad so that it is worth making the distinction between vets and tacticals.

Possible options
15cm   4+   4+   4+   with ML (as Tac) + CC attack is MW?

15cm   4+   2+   5+   (just a harder hitting foot assault squad)

15cm   4+   4+   4+   with ML + CC extra attack (taking into account terminator honours and extra assault weapons)

There are heaps more possiblilities? however there should be some significant difference to veteran squads over tacticals otherwise their creation isn't really justified.

Thanks
ORTRON

I'm fine with not justified creation really. It would only come up for non GT games where you were playing with the whole chapter and had guys who weren't in terminator armour.

That sounds like a fair comment, and much in line with my own thoughts.

I wonder if we could come up with a list here, that was similiar in effect to the "collectors models" that had rules for many of the assorted SM troops and FW vehicles that exist.

These could include the LR varients, razorback varients, SM veterans, thunderhawk annihilator? i'm sure their are many others.

After all it is unlikely any of these will ever make it into a GT list, but i know a number of people would love to have a set of "acceptable" rules to use. I imagine this would be fairly simple since most would simply require altering the weapon fits on standard machines.

I'm definitely in favor of having stats for veterans. I think they should have increased FF and CC values and probably have better firepower than Tac, but less than Dev.

EDIT: Hooray for me! I jost noticed this was post #1500. Promotion and another blue ball!  :D

Since a Veteran Squad isn't all that much different from a Tac squad (or a foot assault squad for that matter), I'd suggest:

15cm spd, 4+sv, 3+cc, 4+ff
Meltaguns 15cm MW5+ and small arms Extra Attack (MW)

Not that I get to use them anyway (Deathwing Termies!)
