Hello again,

I have a small update, I have decided to allow Thunderfire cannon as an upgrade to Tactical and Devastator Marines, so no separate formations of them. I think its always good to have options. Hopefully they shouldnt be overpowering, as they are to be used in a limited way.

Im thinking of garrisoned troops really, so the formation can add 1 or 2 Thunderfire for 50 points each.

Having thought about it, how would the thunderfire be transported? Im thinking it can fit in a Rhino, but takes up 2 slots, so a Tac formation with 2 attached thunderfire in Rhinos would be:

6 Tac Marines
2 thunderfire
5 Rhinos.

It kind of suits the ground pounding mech/armoured Infantry idea I think.

Also would they be droppoddable? (hey new word!)

In other news, I have re set the aircraft back to the standard 2 models per formation. I am still pondering whether to just have Lightnings, and to do away with the thunderbolts and Marauders. Does anyone have stats and points for 2 lightnings, maybe adapted for ground attack? bombs - rockets?

Hi all,

Thinking about this little fan list, I have put all the formations back to the standard numbers, so 6 for tac,4 for assault and dev. Same with the vehicles.

My list now is essentially the same as a standard codex marine list, with the following differences:

0-1 sabre squadron (4 sabre tank hunters)
0-1 Helios battery ( 3 Helios)

The inclusion of thunderfire support weapons for tactical and devastator detachments.

No attack bikes.

As stated at the beginning of this thread, its really just a list for me and my mates, so that I can use it to get all my toys on the table. Having said that, any thoughts on how the list can be improved would be appreciated.

I want to factor in an inquisitor as an alternate supreme commander, I suppose I could just use the supreme commander stats, but thinking perhaps with the smite ability?

Anyway, just some random thoughts!
