So, my question for those that can answer it is, When taking white scars Terminators as drop pod troops, how the heck do you not pay 650 points for the land raiders. It seems that if you take two tactical choices in drop pods, that you have to put the terminators in drop pods. Also, is there some reason that you have to take the land raiders with the terminators since they would not be able to take their land raiders with them and thus pay 1.5 times the cost for termi's. I'm just curious if anybody has any idea's on this. Or basically i'm saying this, terminators shouldn't be used to drop with because you will be overpaying from your points. They are a ground pounding unit only. |

Only 'plus transport' units can use Drop Pods, so White Scars Terminators can't use them. Or at least, that's how I think it works. |

Terminators can't deploy in drop pods - they're too big to fit in the model and they're not allowed to ruleswise in either epic or 40k. Though Terminators can teleport down to a key location, the White Scars are all about fast hit and run blitzkrieg tactics and terminators on their own would slow them down or be left behind, so the option wouldn't be fitting. |

They can drop pod in the Space Wolves list in 40K, and I believe they can in the Epic Space Wolves list as well. |

Still i can see now why the land raiders are apart of the terminators in the list now. while not incredibly fast, the land raider does provide a punch and you get it as a discount with the terminators. |

Also note that the Termies 'plus transport' can be deployed in a Landing Craft, either flying on or via planetfall from a spacecraft. So in effect they must either drive on as ground troops, or fly on inside a Landing craft - teleporting and drop pods are both excluded by the army list. |
