Ok, so heres a couple of Sketches, what do people think? I'm not sure I'm all that convinced to be honest. They both seem a bit low activation, the hard to hold gound factor is fairly general though.

EpicUK Black Templars

Tactical formation, (1 neophyte, Emperor's Chimp, Chaplian) 425
Tactical Formation, (2 neophytes, Chaplain) 400

Devastators (Supreme, 4 razorbacks, Hunter) 475

Landspeeders 200

Assault marines (chaplain) 225
Assault marines 175
Thunderhawk! 200

Terminators (Chaplain) 400
Thunderhawk! 200

Strike Crusier 200

3000 points.

Two tactical formations that can either drive (probably not) or jump out the spaceship (probably yes), some terminators to teleport, a 'hawk to pick them up, a 'hawk full of marines to break something of choice and a supreme commander who will camp on my blitz with lots of guns to keep him safe, he might be the BTS but I'd rather have the BTS not drop podding into the enemy army.

I actually really really tried to give the supreme commander a land raider to sit in but I can't quite make it work. Which is a shame really.

NetEpic Black Templars

Crusaders (4 neophytes, 6 razorbacks, hunter, Supreme) 675
Crusaders (2 neophytes, Chaplain, champion) 475

Assault marines (chaplain) 225
Assault marines 125
Terminators (Chaplain) 400
LandSpeeders 200

Thunderhawk! 200
Thunderhawk! 200
thunderhawk! 200
Thunderhawk CAS 250

3000 points.

Two air assaults, one big formation on the ground. Still not really sure...

Might give the list a whirl at some point Pulsar (though not actually using it as Black Templars or using the more obviously them things, but trying it for the THT, variant 'hawks and LRCs). Should normal Land Raiders cost 100 points in the list though? That seems anachronistically overpriced.

There are a lot of lists here that have the Marshal (Supreme Commander) in the BTS.

Have people playing these lists found a problem with that? I understand that Marine formations are resiliant but I always hesitate to put my SC in my BTS.

I would also prefer that the Tunderhawk CAS be left alone. If anything is needed to help the the Bomber version then that should happen. Please leave the Thunderhawk CAS as it is.

@Hymirl both list look fine, have you used any space marines armys much before? and it's better to put the Emperor's Champion in the terminators rather than a Crusader formations, it's a far better place for him.

@GlynG as Hena as said that these changes are going to be put into the main marine list:
1. Tornado to free upgrade.
2. Land Raider upgrade Costing to 85 points per Raider. (I might put down to 75 soon but i'll wait for conformation before I do.)
3. Vindicator should gain Walker.
they'll go into mine as soon as I can get the time to do it, so you can use them now. If you do play a few games with the list please tell what you think

@Onyx I tend to put the SC in the largest formation because it stays around the longest, if I put him in a smaller one it tends to get attacked more to try and get rid of him, it's a smaller formation and therefore easier to do.

Don't worry i'm not going to change the Thunderhawk CAS, in fact I might playtest the SB one at BP3 and see how it does.

Thanks

Edit: i fail at typing
