Should the Land Raider Crusader be removed from the Blood Angels list, leaving 'just' the Land Raider and the Land Raider Redeemer (the one with the flame cannons that matches well with the Baal Predator).

I'd just like to gauge opinions before I make any changes.

I won't be voting, just watching, cheers.

On one hand yes, its a BT thing. On the other hand its the premier ground assault transport, so makes sense in an assault list.

(So remove the redeemer instead, does the baal give enough fire for the Blood Angels on its own?)

In Warhammer 40,000 the Crusader is no longer restricted to the Black Templars, they just invented is all.

No, I'd rather have Redeemer go and Crusader stay.

Ideally both tanks should be available in all Net-EA Marine lists, just as they should be.

Artificially limiting lists to one or none seems arbitrary, and over time will become ever-more anachronistic.

Remove both - BA have enough units that are known as BA units - Death company, baals, furioso dread without useing LR variants which are similarily iconic for other chapters ie Crusader for BT, isn't the Redeemer a Salamanders unit?

It has actually been invented by a minor Fire Lords chapter, though it became a favorite of Salamanders for obvious reasons.

But then we should also remember that Predator Annihilator has been invented by Space Wolves, and that Heavy Bolter/Assault Cannon Land Speeder Tornado used to be a Dark Angels trademark pattern. So it's not that simple.

Apparently the Blood Angels are renouned for the use of fire as well (I assume its a recent addtion to their background, as in the last 5 years or so )

Personally I am of the opinion shared by Rug I think that the extra units should reinforce the aim of the varient list, emphasising the tactics they are reounded for. Part of this is what you understand those tactics to be and part is what stats you give it (which can make it fit or not).

I'm not sure where does this fascination with fire come in. Even Baal Predator has a choice between heavy bolter and heavy flamer sponsons, and they don't get any other dinstinct flame-based options.

Now Flesh Tearers are noted as being fond of melta weaponry, because it allows them to crack open bunkers and get to the tasty, tasty enemies inside easier. But it's a separate matter.

Really? I must say it would probably be easier to handle it if it were heavy bolters (just replace the pred destructor).

I can understand the melta weaponry, cooks them too

For mysterious reasons, I highly recommend that the Baal Predator keeps its flame weapon sponsons.
