In making up several armies for Space Marines, it is not uncommon, given the variation of units ending in a multiple of 25 (instead of a multiple of 50), to be left with less than 50 points at the end of the list. Most other armies can add in a squad of Ogryns, or a Boyz stand, etc.

The only option in a Space Marine army that costs 25pts, are Razorbacks, and Typhoons. So I was thinking of the possibility of re-including Apothecaries and/or Techmarines. Not wanting to be finicky with the rules, I just figured them being 25pt Leader models for specific units, would allow a team to be fleshed out.

Something like...
Auxillary - Add one Space Marine Auxillary character to a unit in the formation.

Auxillary CH MV(n/a) AR(n/a) CC(n/a) FF(n/a) Weap(n/a) Leader

If it's not sufficient, then maybe add in a non MW attack, or the Invulnerable Save, or something. If it's too iffy in conjunction with a Commander, exclude them from jumping in the same unit.

I'm not after anything uber. I just want something that I can spend my last 25pts on, without needing to reconsider a larger reshuffle. Also, I have tons of the little blighters, and only one Supreme Commander stand.

Techmarine could maybe get Smite equivalent instead of Leader.

I'm not sure if this is necessary, given that I prefer to use T-marines as librarians and Apothecaries/SHPs as chaplains and never end up with 25 points I couldn't use, but by all means go ahead with this.

Well Apothecaris only come with the Comand Squad which is only available for the Captain.

Librarians in a Devastator unit are a good representation of a Techmarine with Servitor Bodyguard.
