Hi,

This is my first list just two basic purchases.  This is a list i intend to learn with for a bit. C&C please.  

1 tactical formation with SC
3 more tactical formations
1 assult formations.

Thats it 1500 pts with only two purchases.

Keep in mind that tournament lists should be between 2k and 5k.  If you don't have enough for a 2K game I suggest you mirror forces and play some of the training scenarios in the book.

I've played a few 1.5K games with marines.  There lack of numbers definitely hurts them in small games, especially when they're facing Orks or IG.  I've found that keeping the formations close to each other in pairs for mutual Assault support is really needed.

If you are beginning E:A, usual advice is to go through the training scenarios in the book which use these sort of formation sizes.

Other than that, make sure that you have sufficient terrain to hide them in. Also Marines really work best with Thunderhawks to air drop them, or Spaceships to "Planetfall" a contingent. They need to be used very carefully (as opposed to cautiously), and are generally considered to be quite difficult to master - but keep at it and above all, have fun.

The small list size reflects that this isn't designed for tournies just for learning.  A few small games while i build up the army to tourney level.  Thats all.  Oh and thats per stand give me a few to edit it.
