Land Raider Crusader

I've tried the following

Armoured Vehicle
Speed 25cm
Armour 4+
FF 5+
CC6+
2x Hurricane Bolters (15cm) Small arms +1EA
Twin Assault cannon, 30cm, AP4+/AT4+
Multi-melta, 15cm, MW5+ and Small Arms MW
Notes: Reinforced Armour, Thick Rear Armour, Transport (may carry two Terminator units OR three of the following units: Space Marine Tactical, Devastator & Scout units). The Multi-melta can shoot and be used to confer the macro-weapon ability to the unit?s base firefight attack, not the additional hurricane bolter attacks.

Gives 3 5+ attacks (one MW) and okay firepower along with a big boost in transport (2 can carry any formation).

I've seen but haven't tried the suggestion of giving it Frag Launchers, Assault Weapons and raising the CC to 5+.
This seems fine, anyone tried it?

Note no effort here to point or limit it, thats potentially different in each list.

i've tried both versons when playing proxyed Grey Knights and Hurricane Bolters/ (15cm)/ Small Arms/ Extra Attcks (+2) ?and found that it is good and Extra Attcks (+1) is not quite enought for a 125 point Vehicle.

I agree with Hena that while the wording may need clearing up, the basic stats are fine.

Both versions are in fact the same - just written differently, both deliver 2 5+ and 1 MW5+ FF attacks :)

no, i used it with two attacks, one MW and one extra, mainly because it was the first time i had tried the list.

It copies the datafax entry for the land speeder. The reference sheet version would skip it.

Looks okay to me.  I didn't cross-ref with the stats in the BT list.  Does it differ?

Minor problem with the FF stat.  The regular Land Raider is supposed to have its FF ability improved from 5+ to 4+ as part of the rules review.  Considering the firepower that the Crusader is dripping with I'd dare say that its FF value should be 4+ like its base model cousin.  Just because the Multi-melta has a 5+ to hit, and its interaction with FF, does not mean that the FF has to be a 5+ also.

The Frag launcher idea has merit - it would fit the fluff and the battlefield role of the vehicle.

FF value isn't all that important.  It's the total damage it inflicts that matters.  2 FF5+ and 1 MW5+ means that it averages twice the amount of damage of a FF4+, some of which can be expected to be MW.

The Grey Knight version (simply the BT version + Fearless) is here in the Inquisition Task Force:

I've been playtesting it at 5+FF plus one extra attack from the hurricane bolters plus one extra MW attack from the multi-melta. That's seems plenty, making the hurricane bolters EA+2 is overkill.

Note that I was toying with the +2EA for the Crusader at that point - ignore it, it should be +1EA!

I don't think the Multi-melta should give the Crusader an ExtraAttack.
1 MW basic-attack from the Multi-melta and +2 EA for the HurricaneBolters, all at 5+ will be good enough.

As it doesn't strike me as having the same FF as a baneblade? Or worth 3 land raiders in an assault. its alreay more than twice as good as a regular raider.
