No.

Non-25pt unit choices are fine by me.

Orks are about the most balanced army list for Epic, and they have many non-25pt adherants.

I?m not fine with it.

Give 'em 2 for 175. marines have only one choice non 25 pts (Tornado) and exactly this will be changed soon (look at the threads). So no reason to alter this steps at least in this list

Hena, with your proposal you are compromising player choice by forcing them to buy Land Raiders in pairs, rather than singly as they can now, for the sake of making list building fit into BASE-4 (Apparently so that things are 'tidy'?).

Essentially, faced with a little extra maths, you're giving up.

Without wishing to put words into his mouth, I think Hena's saying that having non 25/50 point units in the SM list is pointless, because pretty much all the other units are in 25/50/75/100 point increments.

So having them at 85 points doesn't really benefit the SM player; there's nothing else to buy with the odd points.

There's more than just the Land Raider that has people looking at whether sticking to BASE-4 is appropriate... no?

Of Land raiders:
now that the cost of them is being modified, the cost should then be modified accordingly in all chaos space marine lists, too. The cost for fearless one should be (IMHO) same as for space marine LR (as fearless is about as good as ATSKNF) and then less for those chaos space marine lists on which it has no fearless.

Of attack bikes:
maybe a formation of 5 could cost 175, then upgraded +10 (or 5) each to bikes..

I still think they should be as upgrades to terminators giving 650 per formation. Also 650 for an 8 strong LR formation if you have a list that allows upgrades.

Course it doesn't work for devs so drop them and give them vindicators instead.
