Well genreric Space Marines Bikes aren`t Ferlass and don`t have Scout.
Oh and they have Teleport Homers too.

Fearless allows you to ignore all Leadership tests.
You don`t test when you suffered 25% casualties from shooting.
You don`t test when you loose an assault (but take additional wounds depending how bad you lost, but saves are allowed against this extra-wounds).
You can`t become broken.

So an 1:1 representation in Epic would be that an entirely(!) Fearless formation can`t become broken.
But importand: hackdown hits after a lost assault are still valid! but should allow a save (only for the Fearless units in the formation, non-Fearless units will still be hacked-down without a save).
Else: Fearless units can't be surpressed due to Blastmarkers (but this is debateable because BMs don't always represent troops paniking but also communication dificultties because of the noise of impacts, static, etc).

Well, if you could only have one ability for ravenwing bikes, what would it be? Scout or jink? (for 225)

Scout.

Quoted for truth.

Ravenwing are dangerous in and of themselves, but are most dangerous when used to call in Deathwing assaults.

Well this could be incorporated into an amry specific special rule ;)
How about this?:

Deathwing Terminators which teleport into the ZoC of a Ravenwing unit don't have to roll for Blastmarkers.

Or get to re-roll any 1's if that's more agreeable than not rolling at all.

I second the re-roll idea.  there's *always* a chance of Murphy saying "hi", not rolling for that chance = bad.

Are you guys planning to put together a consolidated "consensus" list like with the Salamanders?

I think there is broad aggreement but a distinct difference between what might be called a 40k approach and Epic approach. Epic wise would the following raise any objections?

Taking the last list posted as a basis deciding whether ravenwing should get the jink or the scout(for bikes)/walker(for speeders). Personally I am more of a jink fan (then would it be better with 3+ or 4+inv, the latter saving less overall). Then costing them at 225 for 5.

Adding the above suggested ravenwing special rule.

Dreadnaughts. The Mortis is a bit good, make it non fearless (still 75 points)? Then have two types matching the two types available. The regular one could be white or green, explain in the preceding fluff, but reguardless would always be fearless so no confusion.

Note that in the Codex Ravenwing Land Speeders have no specialrules whatsoever.
Only Ravenwing Bikes and Ravenwing Attack Bikes have Fearless, Scout and Teleport Homers.

Bikes, Landspeeders and Master Sammael on a Jetbike (or a pimped out lanspeeder). Landspeeders merely don't have any special rules associated with them.

Well, thats pretty poor. I vote ravenwing cost 225 for 5 and have invulnerable save.

The 'jink' save is not in the latest codex.

Now they just have access to more bikes than other chapters, and more flexiable methods of fielding them.

I vote for no ajustments to the basic bike stats whatsoever.

Yeah, but that frankly is just dull. The elite ravenwing are... ordinary! Wow, I know marines are hyped but these chaps clearly take the whole tin.

With what I said above this would be somewhat conservative. The Ravenwing/deathwing special rule would wait to see if its needed. After all appearing within 15cm of marine bikes has benefits all of its own!
