More to the point are Not known for their numerous attack bike sqaudrons


Blood Angels are not known for Attack Bikes?

I'm thinking of dropping that particular idea (The cheaper attack bike formation) anyway.


and how does the DC rule work when air assaulting, combined assaulting or when intermingled? Do all formations benefit?

Probably best to change it so that each Death Company unit counts as two units for outnumbering purposes.

Going over the different variant lists, I noticed there's a discrepancy between some units' datasheets, namely the LR Redeemer and LR Crusader.

The Blood Angels datasheets for these two units are different from the Scions of Iron and Salamanders versions. As I'm trying to compile these lists, I'd like to know which profile to keep.  :grin:

EDIT: the BA version if the Redeemer makes more sense to me (the other version has both MW and Ignore Cover on its only FF2+ attack, which seems a bit weird; it also gets a Multi-melta, which is only an option in the 40K list).

the stats for the LR crusader came up in a BT thread awhile ago and this is what was decided then between me Hena, LI and a few other people.

Type        Speed  Armour Close Combat Firefight
Armored Vehicle 25cm 4 +          5+           5 +
Weapon Range      Firepower       Notes
Frag Launchers     (base contact)      Assault weapons
Hurricane Bolters     (15cm)          Small Arms, Extra Attack (+1)

Pintle Multi-Melta 15 cm          MW5+ and Small Arms Macro-Weapon Extra Attack (+1)
Notes: Reinforced Armour, Thick Rear Armour, Transport (May carry Three of the following units: Crusaders, Sword Brethren, Neophytes or Two Sword Brethren Terminator units)


that was a change from the orginal stats were there were x2 Hurricane Bolters and the Pintle Multi-Melta wasn't an extra attack

Land Raider Redeemer Salamanders version

2 x Flamestorm Cannon (15cm)/(Small Arms), Ignore Cover AND 15cm/AP4+, Ignore Cover

Notes: Reinforced Armour, Thick Rear Armour, Transport (may carry 1 Terminator unit OR 2 of the following units: Tactical, Devastator & Scout)
The Multi-melta and Flamestorm Cannon can shoot and be used to confer the Macro-Weapon and Ignore Cover abilities to the unit’s firefight value.


Land Raider Redeemer Blood Angels version

The Salamanders version is clearly superior, yet it costs 85 points while the BA version costs 100 points. Also, the Salamanders Redeemer has a FF2+ attack that is both MW and IC, which is weird.

For the sake of consistency, could E&C and Black Legion/TRC have a little brainstorming session in order to agree on one profile for the Redeemer?

I clearly prefer the BA version (simpler and more balanced IMO, although 100 points may be a bit much) but I don't know the Redeemer that much so I'll defer to more informed minds on this matter.  :grin:

IIRC the Salamanders Redeemer only has the Multi-melta because it is
a) a Salamanders Vehicle.
b) it`s a Land Raider Crusader which exange 1 Transport space and the Hurricane Bolters for Flamestorm Cannons.

a) speaks for a Salamanders only Redeemer variant.
b) speaks for unified stats for the Redeemer.

Has anyone tried to make any Baal Predators yet?

I'm going to convert a pair of Baals (heh heh heh... no, wait, it doesn't even work with the way I pronounce that name) and am looking for some ideas. Well, basically I'll use assault cannons clipped off old tornado landspeeders (and boy those cannons are massive!) and leftover pred sponsons on spare rhinos.

Need to find something for a turret though. Grumble grumble.

What remains to be seen is if they're worth equal points to Redeemers (which I have strong doubts about).
