there will doubtless be a great wailing and gnashing of teeth if they have two] heavy weapons per stand, as they only get 1/5 in the Codex now

Codex terminators only have 1 HW per 5 as well and still get 2xAC shots in Epic... I haven't noticed huge amounts of gnashing of teeth on the subject :)

Clearly squad-based Assault Cannons are equipped with stabilisers and so are more effective than Dreadnought-mounted ones... :-)

yeah but that's due to the drugs, not the Terminator Assault Cannon issue.

On a serious note, Terminators are well tested and work.. I don't see the need to mess around with their equipment, just because GW decided to sell there new plastic terminators with just one assault cannon.

Clearly Dreadnoughts have a to lumberous gait so that they hit only half the time than Terminators :D

As for GW: I don't care that GW decides for ONE edition (3rd) that 5 man Terminator Squads can have 2 Assault Cannons.

To bad that Epic is based on the weakest/worst edition of Wh40k.

It's why I don't support the apparent rigid adherence to dogma that some lists attempt to capture. The (relatively) quick turn around makes things legal-quasilegal-illegal-never existed. And adds in a lot of relatively stupid stuff. All because GW want to market something.

Personally, as long as the 'feel' of the army is captured, that's the most important thing. While I don't play it much, it's why I'm a big fan of the Ghazgkhull Ork army. No need to add TankBustas and BurnaBoyz just because GW wants to include them in 40K.

..Personally I think 40k has been on a gradual downward slope since 3rd Ed was released (to me it's a set of skirmish rules, bad ones at that, not a company-level game)

anyway, in the case that all terminators are artificially up-gunned then I think Wolf Guard should be normal termis with no teleport and access to drop pods, at least for the time being

Though I would love to make some Epic BurnaBoyz models, I think they would look sweet at 6mm... hmm... I might have to make a few stands for my Orks

How about you just charge 10pts to start with and test from there.

Done.

And bog-standard Terminators will be in as well.

Last question before I finalise the play doc tonight. What should the FF value of Long Fangs be? 3+ or 2+? They have 2x Twin MLs. I have them at 3+ right now but given their shootiness I could see 2+....

I can see 2+, considering how much firepower you're looking at there.

LOL! 50/50 responses :D

OK I'll go with 3+ for now. I personally think 2+ given they are better armed than a Devastator unit, but I'll follow Hena and Zombo's lead for now.

Thanks gents!
