The gun does, yes, IIRC.

You could try arguing for different shells, or something, but I think Walker and a price reduction is more appropriate, honestly.

Yes, it's supposed to be exactly the same weapon.

With the exeption that the LR Demolisher's shot has the potential to scatter 1 more inch than the Vindicator's shot because of BallisticSkill (BS) 3 instead of 4.
Template shots don't roll to hit in Wh40k. Instead you roll a scatter die (which gives a 4:2 chance that the shot will scatter). If the shot scatters then the template is moved 2D6 - BS inches in a random direction. If the result is 0 or below the shot doesn't scatter at all.

Since everyone seems all distracted again...

What about all these different proposals? Any hope of making some polls about them to see what people think and get it over with, rather than bouncing from issue to issue inconclusively?

Without the AC willing to consider them there wouldn't seem to be much point
