The Helios I have tried as an 50 point upgrade and it was okay (I can see one being added to every LR formation however! :) ).

I write it as
2xHurricane bolters, small arms +1EA
instead of
Hurricane bolters, small arms +2EA
Simply because there are two of them :)
Guess its a style thing, entirely identical result however!

Yes it precludes having a formation.
It came down to there being no way of pointing the damn things in a linear fashion for 3 LR, 1 Helios to 4 Helios as due to the barrage table the points progression isn't linear.

So 50 points per upgrade seems to work for me - but is a tad pricy for all 4.

You could have a seperate formation? Say 50 points per upgrade, and a formation of 500 points for 4?

No but I would take 1 helios if it were cheap in every LR formation that I was taking anyway. Pointing that correctly doesn't scale up to taking more.

So I wouldn't take lots of LR formations, but any I did take would have a Helios!
