Like the pred suggestion, the AT version currently has upper hand.

Incidentally I have a file of all (sensible or not) of all the suggestions made on the old forum if anyone wants it.

Because I simply can't bear potentially being a jerk with the "go look it up with a search" comment, the frontrunners in my opinion for SM modifications are:

Reduce the cost of armor formations by 25 points (except Whirlwinds).

Vindicators go to 25cm move.

TSKNF gains some tweaks.  Most likely SM leaders remove 2BMs and BMs count half for assault resolution.

Dreadnought formation or expanded dreadnought upgrade.

That's just my perception of the strongest candidates.  There are plenty of other things for consideration.

I'm not a SM commander, but I'm with this 100%:
1.  LR Formation = lowered to 350

2.  LR improved to FF4+
3.  Pred improved to FF4+

4.  create +2 LR upgrade
5.  create +2 Pred Upgrade


May be the wrong place to throw this out, but I'd also like to see the following tested:
create +2 assault marine Upgrade
create assault marine biker formation
Imperial Tbolt mild weapons uptick
Maurader Bomber mild point reduction
Remove mandatory rhino cost in Tac squad
consider landspeeder cost refinement (minor reduction)

NH, posted my comments before i seen your short list. Sorry for any redundancy or for mentioning things that may not be desirable or have a chance at being on the radar. Just thought this looked like the right place to toss out those ideas I've accumulated from locals in the past.

I've had the pleasure of pushing the marines on only less than a dozen times, but played against them quite a bit. I can 'feel' for the marine players as it pertains to all the comments I made. So at least as far as liking to see them 'tested' I can endorse them from the "other side of the table's" perspective. (if that makes any sense... getting sleepy)

Not at all.  Those are good suggestions.  Some of them are on the list already and some are now added.  I was just putting out the things that I feel most confident will be adopted.

NH,

cool, thanks for the consideration. I know Andy (bug player in our group) also would like to be able to push marines in E:A to compliment his marines in 40K. He's just struggled with them in E:A and so has migrated to bugs for the time being. I'm sure it wouldn't take much effort to show him there are changes on the horizon and get him to blow the dust of the E:A Ultramarines. ;)

I'll keep an eye on things to come over this way.
