Champion:  I definitely would not make this mandatory.


They are mandatory in any battle over 750pts in 40k (That's essentially, every battle at Epic scale then).

According to the fluff, before each battle the Templars pick one of their number to be the Champion... fluffwise (unlike the Black Legion Supreme Commander Abbadon) a Templar Champion is always present at any battle involving more than a couple of dozen Marines.

Thawk Transporter:  Is it needed for the style of list you intend?

I would rather see it dropped from the list, than incorporated using the 3DC stat.

Unless the Gunship was also made 3dc. They are the same vehicle with the same armour profile.


I liked the Neophyte Bikes in earlier versions of the list.

I think this is an interesting concept. Converted Scout Biker models look awesome. :D

hmmmm....direction and style of the list that is a very important point Thanks Neal i'll have to think about that, i do like the horde idea but they should still be a strike force.

and i always like'd Neophyte Bikes putting them back sounds like testable idea thanks!

and on the thunderhawk transporter i've just orderd 2 so when they come i'll start testing.


i'll have a think and play a few games and come back with a new version soon (i.e. in a few days)

Ah.  I thought he was a one-per-chapter character (or chapter sized grouping since the crusade chapters are non-Codex).

Predators vs Rhinos, Hammerheads vs Devilfishes (chassis is same).


It's worth noting that your examples, unlike the THT, do not have identical armour profiles to each other in 40k.
