Is it just me or is hiddenevil making amazing replications of the 40k necron forces.

I think we should chain him to his workbench and force him to build us all epic necron armies. :D

Agreed. I haven't jumped in on my pylons yet as I got intimidated by having to cut the arc out of the sheet plastic I got, which was fairly thick.

Instead I started a bunch of Tomb Spyders (16) based, not on the scarab, but one of the John Blanche-type drawings in the codex.

Basically a squared body with dangly legs.

Anyway, I'm becoming a big HE fan...(and he doesn't mean High Elves).    :/

Looks like a heavy gauge wire ring, bits of sprue on the end, a 40mm ROund base with a ping pong ball on it, and a part I swear i recognize, but can't place, though it could just resemble a Lego hinge arm thingy.  wire for the side bits and crystal cage. jewelry wire for the arcs. About right?

I forgot about replying to this topic sorry for the delay

the pylon is made on a 60mm GW base so heres the step by step

1.glue a 25mm 40k Gw base in the middle of the big base

2.cut 6 plastic rod pieces out at around 1.5cm and glue thes in appropriatly(I used fantasy spears)

3.using left over sprue I cut out some pieces to fit the edges of the plastic rod and glue these on.

4.can't remember where I found this but any round semishere will do if it is smaller than the 25mm base.glue this in the middle of that base and file the top flat.

5.I used an Imperial guard comms unit from 40k(the little round thing on one of the antenas) and cut this to fit the gun itself.

6.I used copper wire bent into shape for the gun and added a piece of sprue to each end.glue this into the ring on the base and fill the ring with green stuff for strength.

7.I glued two small beads together and glues these to a small round piece of plastic and added thin electrical wire(not fuse wire) around the beads and 6 small bits to the back of the plastic after attaching to the gun.

8.just to make it cooler I added some lightning made out of fuse wire and bases it,painted it ect...

heres a recent pic with it and some of my other stuff (painted and better quallity...outside)
