the idea of the necron spyder (and necron lord) having the "LEADER" ability was because it repaired necrons... but with the new rules they do not regenerate units when rallying, so whats the point of still having leader? |

Raiders 2.0 wrote: Units with the Necron ability that have been destroyed can regenerate. Formations can return one previously destroyed Necron unit in the end phase of each turn either on or off the board. In addition, if a formation regroups on board it can use the dice rolls to either return units with the Necron ability to play or to remove blast markers or both (e.g., if you rolled a ‘2’ you could return 2 units to play, remove 2 blast markers, or return 1 unit and remove 1 blast marker). Formations off board are restricted to using their regroup function to remove blast markers only. So when you regroup, you can still use the Leader ability. |

Lots and lots of playtests with them having Leader. Consider the following, if GW decided that in 40k Space Marines would be 3's across the board instead of 4's so that they cost less point-wise so you have to buy more of them to fill out a 2k army, should we follow suit and drop SM stats in EA? |

So, leader helps for regrouping, but a Necron formation with a Tomb Spyder and Lord only repairs just the one Necron automatically in the end phase now? Wasn't a Tomb Spyder a poor choice before this change already? That's how we played it yesterday and I think that's right, but I'm not 100%. |

That change is part of why Tomb Spyders were dropped in price. |

Ah, I hadn't realised they had been, fair enough then. The 50 points is the reduced Spyder price? That's what I have in my Raiders 2, but I'm not sure it was changed before or since. |

50 points is the reduced price; they were 75 points for a long time. |
