Holy crap that looks great. did you fill the interior or build it around something and hoe many shields that take (4?) |

By the look of it I would say it takes 3 and no filling. Lot's of potential down that road! |

I like that shield idea too, maybe not for monoliths but some thing even more evil! Another sweet proxie I was thinking about was the Antarctica walking giant time orb thing to use as a necron orb, all I got to do is remove the legs (which are seperate pieces) and add some more necrony bits. It's from dystopian wars I think. |

The end of staff. http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_Cus ... 73x627.jpg Interesting idea that looks reproducible easily enough, but how much does it cost for a bunch of them I wonder? |

The box comes with 20 weapons for 5 models, so I think it should be possible to find friendly 40k players with spare weapons. Unless Phase Shields are OP and everybody uses them, of course. You could also buy boxes, take the bits and sell the rest, but given that you only get 5 shields per box it could get quite expensive if you fail to sell all the boxes. For my current Necron army I'd need a total of 24 shields, and wouldn't mind more. |

Hmm, difficult. But maybe it could help inspire a tac-com sculptor to come up with something similar. Maybe a "spaceship" that can also be used as a monolith proxy. |

Ha, by the time i posted it there where 4 left ^_^ Bitzbox.co.uk got them for a pound each. I agree that availability is most often a problem with bits shops. |

Anyone have any shots of the shield monolith, next to troops, for a size comparison? If they're really big I can always use them for one of the harvester engines. |
