Yeah, maybe start a new thread with a word document in the first post (so that people can download it) listing the few changes you want tested?

I think the monolith formation change is probably the most universally agreed change, surely that should be the first thing on the list?

you don't go making fundamental changes to a list's core rules, while at the same time making fundamental changes to one of the core formations.  

Not only is it likely to be a complete mess, it makes is virtually impossible to definitavely nail down one root cause for such potential problems.

I'm not sure if this has already been mentioned before, but what about giving monoliths a "transport capacity"?

Pegged just right a single monolith could portal in a support formation or a damaged phalanxs

Two monoliths could portal in a phalanx with upgrades

and three 'liths gives you room to suffer loses.

I mentioned an attached file just cos it seems to be the way people do it, for two lines it does seem a bit pointless you're right.

Now you've settled on your initial changes for the list I do suggest starting a new thread and having the details in the first post though; more people will see it that way, rather than them having to read 8 pages of thread to know about they exist.

Giving Necrons a fixed SR 2, while a big change for us players, does not change the way the army is played.  The problem wasn't that the Necrons' SR was too high, it was that it was variable. Since most players were using a C'tan for SR3, all it does is :

- make the Necrons lose 1 point of SR (important change, but not fundamental) ;
- give an incentive to play Harvester engines.

As such, I don't think making other changes to the list will be a complete mess. So... please tell us what to test.  :))  :))   Just type it in a new thread if you can't/don't want to create a pdf.
