Hi Boyz ! Go to your local craft store, and buy some floral spray paint. It's primarily used for flowers. But it sprays flat, comes in all colors and in big cans and is cheap ! It's great for base coating . And it does not "bunch up" if spraying too heavy to get all the "nooks and crannies" ! Too much hobby spray paint like Testors, Model Masters, etc. runs and bunches up ... and are expensive. These floral paints come in what I call Tactical Colors as well as Circus colors ... Check'm out !

How's the "thickness" of the paint once it's dried? I've been a big fan of Armoury (Grey) Primer; it's relatively cheap, lasts a long time, and gives a nice, thin, solid coat. That said, I will be looking into this "floral spray" for scenery projects! |

I guess, they spray the tops of the flower to get the correct color ?! The Thickness dried, is fine, it does not cover up detail ... |

Does it melt styrofoam? I've been looking for a better way to quickly paint large terrain pieces. |

Sorry Sarge ... just tried it while base painting an AFV ... ?S/foam melted ... as usual ...  ?But the ThunderBrick BattleWagon AFV conversion looks great !  |

I usually always base coat metal and some plastics with spray ...
