Ulp! The SG Thunderhawk IS small. ANd the LC should carry several times the amount of the Thunderhawk... What a scaley mess, as the Tyranid said to the Slann.... I still like the 'old tinies' anyway. |

Based off the minis I would almost argue that the LC should be a lighter/less armed/armored lander, but it is a nice strong point when landed. The minis are great, but now I am torn on whether I want to get 3 Thawks for my Epic Ultramarines. I am probably going to get a few Thawks (both variants) for AI. |

As much as I like the larger scale thunderhawk, I think the SG version will always be my favorite. Thanks for the comparison though I was wondering just how much larger they were. Laters |

So the LC is obviously the cleverer design...It can carry 6 Rhinos! ![]() |

However it doesn't come with the ablative shielding that apparently protects it during the drop. |

The funny thing is only 1 of them is out of scale, the SG Thunderhawk. The LC actually carries 6 Epic Rhinos, so that's to scale and the Thunderhawk Transport carries 2 Epic Rhinos, again to scale. |

Has anybody proposed rules for a 'baby thunderhawk' (thunderchick?) to accurately reflect the smaller SG flier? |

Not that I know of... But if they do I'l love to se a set of rules for the even smaller Mk1 Thunerbrick! I mean: It is hardly the size of the cockpit of the FW T-hawl ![]() |

They sit in the rhinos? |

However it doesn't come with the ablative shielding that apparently protects it during the drop. and why would the T-hawk need shielding for reentry ? our primitive spaceships only need this because they enter the atmosphere at near orbital speeds, which they do because they haven't got the fuel to slow down. o.k. sorry i know that nobody on this thread really cares about the real rocket science behind the thunderhawk, i just can't help myself. ![]() |

Just curious, from the diagram, does it mean you can assemble the T-Hawk Transporter without the Rhino/Land Raider? |
