I have been thinking of starting space marine army to epic. Mainly I want it to be quite fast project. (only about 6k in size). And paint them just when I'm tired of eldar stuff. Something I have in mind: 1. Colour Plan is to make them bright orange. (now you can ask why? And reason is I don't have any orange army yet.) 2. Chapter Emblem Emblem is black shield with white bear claw in it. 3. Chapter name Name refers to ancient bears, who were kings of forest, but nowadays they are extinct. Also bear is a symbol of power and that suits SM well. 4. Successor They are a successor chapter of Imperial fists. No more background info, I'm just too keen on painting... These are the guidelines I'm working with. I'll post some first pictures as soon as possible. It would be nice if someone can give me some markings info of imperial fist. (company badge, Squad markings etc.) I try to keep them similar. Thanks |

Heh, my Howling Griffons reached 4000 points, so now I think they are ready. I thouht that they would be eternal project, but I made them quite fast. I think it is great idea to make bright orange Marine Chapter! |

While experimenting with yellows during an NMM-gold phase, I found a great formula for pumpkin orange that looked surprisingly good. I'll try to dig it up tonight. It was the kind of color that said, "Hey, I'm orange, how are you doing today?" instead of "Look at me! I'm ORANGE!" |
