Just curious why there's a sudden influx of Tyranid sculpters?

I've been working on my Tyranid army for quite some years now (slow progress), and never seen anyone do any Tyranid sculpting except Dreasnnar's excellent Genestealer (anyone know if he's still about).

I'm not saying I started anything    *gloat* there's been many plastic type conversions, but I mean sculpters using green stuff. I never got around to finishing my work because of family problems, but I was planning to do both the Tyrant Guard and Malanthrope and people are now beating me to it.

hehe, no I'm not erm... peeved, well a little

I think, basically, the confirmation from SG that there would be no re-release of the Tyranid infantry sprue spurred people to do something about the lack of models...

Of course, corelation does not equal causation, but, in this case, it sure seems to trend that way.

Chroma's on the money there.

It was the news that there wouldn't be a 'nid release from SG that prompted me to start my 'resculpt everything as a modern design' project.
