My two week deadline is almost up and I've barely started the Czech Dana. ?It's definitely not something I'm proud of. ?But I haven't been idle. ?I've been filing and assembling various purchases, and while I was sticking down EW 'techguard' infantry, I decided they needed a suitably impressive Supreme Commander.

Based partly on the memory of a piece of art I saw eons ago, on portent/warseer or the ASP, with large vorlon-like 'collar' (servo-carapace in my case) and robes; also partly on the description of Magos Geard Bure in the Black Library's Malleus.
(A quick look confirms that the art was from the ASP; though despite my moniker beneath it, it's not mine. ?I wish it was.)
Photos and scans: since neither satisfy me I thought I'd post series of both for the best possible impression. ?I hope no-one minds.

I gave it a light black wash to pick out the details for photos, but it seems it went too dark overall.
Started on Sunday night, finishing touches on Thursday. ?I wondered if I could set myself a deadline of a total of eight hours, but it was closer to twice that. It's mostly ProCreate, with some brown stuff, styrene, and bits of brass rod and copper wire. ?I was reminded how sculpts this size are made enormously easier (no pun intended) by ProCreate, partly by it's malleable/sculptable qualities but also because the light grey colour makes it a lot easier to see what you're sculpting! ?I think I'll reach for the grey stuff first from now on, whenever I start fooling about in 6mm. I made a hash of a few things. ?The axe is way oversized, and I couldn't put even cog-teeth in it in my first couple of attempts with styrene and putty, so I just left it semicircular and I hope to paint the teeth in. ?The techpriest himself is slightly too large at 7mm to the top of his shiny metal skull, but I choose to interpret that as 'suitably impressive'. ?There are a few other little niggles too; but then I just look at bits that please me, like the skull, the carapace, and the fingers. ?Particularly the curl of the fingers on the right hand.
I hope to make a praetorian bodyguard for him sooner or later, based on Krieger. ?That should do for the MW stat. ?Also a Commander for the second inf. company. ?With spider legs.

I really love this! Fantastic piece of work, Vermis! I'll definitely give ProCreate a try as well. You've inspired me to get on with some more 6mm sculpting! regards, Reaver

That is awesome! We really do have a deep pool of 6mm talent on this board.

This well-designed, intricate, and inspirational thing would be a booger to cast.

Ye gods. I thought that the point of 6mm was that you didn't have to worry about the detail.
I'll take a dozen,
