Hi, I've recenlty updated my pictures of the Revenant, and Phantom titans I entered into the Epicomms contest a couple of years back. ?I'm much happier with the new pics. Please take a look at: http://members.shaw.ca/seebaran/webpage.htm If you have problesm, you can also check out the pictures directly at: http://s88.photobucket.com/albums/k193/CanucksFan2006/ There is also my latest model (my L.E.D., battery powered fire prism) on the site, which I've entered in this years competition. ? Any questions, and all feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, CF |

Sigh - some people do brilliant work, with incredible paint jobs (the Phantom), stunning alterations (the Revenant cockpit) or models which is just amazing (lights on a Fire Prism!). Why do I only ever get to do the weird stuff? ![]() Beautiful work, CF - is there a full Eldar army to go with these? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Beautiful! How long did it take for each model (conversions and painting)? Just curious. |

Thanks for the comments ![]() Sigh - some people do brilliant work, with incredible paint jobs (the Phantom), stunning alterations (the Revenant cockpit) or models which is just amazing (lights on a Fire Prism!). Why do I only ever get to do the weird stuff? ? Beautiful work, CF - is there a full Eldar army to go with these? There will be a full army - it is assembled but not painted yet. ?There won't be any major conversions, and no more LEDs. ?Well, maybe one more... ![]() Can you provide any details about PVS putty? Sure: PVS is poly vinyl siloxone (spelling?), a dental putty. ?It's the goop your dentist gets you to bite into when making a crown. ?It sets in 5 minutes, so you can make a bunch of molds and test them out quite quickly. ?However, it is expensive and not readilly available. ?RTV (room temperature vulcanizing) rubber is actually a better product for model making. ?RTV is cheaper, and easilly available from hobby shops. Thanks, CF |

Beautiful! How long did it take for each model (conversions and painting)? ?Just curious. For the Fire Prism, if I had to do it again from scratch it would probably take: Drilling: 30 mins Canopy and cockpit detail: 2-3 hours Prism gun and electronics (including mold): 4-8 hours Cockpit, engine and internal electronics: 2hours Painting: (assuming your airbrush clogs all the time when doing the detail work) 4 hours? Base: 4 hours? So, say about 20 hours? ?It's very difficult to estimate. ?It took me much longer than this because I had to test lots of things (electronics, colors etc...). I don't remember how long the phantom or revenant took, but they would take substantially less time than the fire prism. Thanks, CF |
