Thanks for this, Redram!  I suppose this is a good step for someone who has the plastic LRs and who doesn't want to fork out for the new Metal ones.  Great converting work!  BTW, how'd you cast the hatches (they were cast, right?)

Yes they are cast.
I used latex milk to build a relief mould from the "new style" hatch.
