Hi all, Inspired by the Krieg list development Ive put together my interpretation of Ordinatus Krieg. ![]() ![]() ![]() Ive gone for a "How big a gun can I get away with approach: Theres too much of the ork boss in me... ![]() I still need to decide what sould go on the back of the chimera, currently im thinking either a selection of shells for the ammo buggy to pick up or a sensor array. Any better ideas? |

Excellent work. I particularly like the "ammunitions schlepper!" |

Looking pretty cool! Any thoughts as to the stats we should be looking at for the cannon? Here's the standard Ordinatus stats from the AMTL list: Speed 10cm Armour 4+ CC6+ FF5+ 2x Lascannon 45cm AT5+ Notes: DC3; 6 Void Shields; Critical == Warlord Titan damage table. Thick Rear Armour; Inspiring; Fearless. The current ordinatus guns are: Sonic Disruptor - 100cm / 10bp / Ignore Cover / Disrupt Nova Cannon - 100cm / 4x MW3+ / TK(D3) 6x Hellfire Missiles - Unlimited cm / 4bp / Macro-Weapon / Single Shot / ignore cover / indirect. So how would a Krieg super-heavy gun fit into that list? Perhaps it'd be a high-BP attack that uses the starship template (large blast template) ? I'd think maybe 10BP, but only uses 1 Template (So it applies extra BM's, but only uses the single large blast template)? Should it even use the Ordinatus stats (Void shields etc) or should it be far more vulnerable? |

I was thinking along similar lines for the main gun. Also it'd be interesting to have the option to level the gun for some nasty direct fire capabilities: Imagine the kind of damage an armour piercing shell this size will do to a titan or Super Heavy! It should be much more difficult to hit a target this way but the ammount of damage done should also be significant. |

I was even thinking of using this in a similar role to the battleship- ie an off table formation that gives 2 orbital barrages and is slow firing... But on table stats is much more interesting! In which case you stats look good, though maybe even FF 6+ and 5cm move to make it even more unwieldy... I dont know about void shields, i like the idea of making it more survivable, but I dont know if void shields are necessarily the best way to go. I would perhaps consider that it comes as a support formation with a group of attached worker vehicles/bodygaurd tanks. Perhaps 4 Leman Russes plus a couple of chimeras and some infanry stands. That would give it a nuimber of "hits" to be removed before actually getting to the ordinatus itself and differentiates it from the AMTL engines. Also how about a point defense system of heavy bolters rather trhan las cannons.... Cheers! |

Unless there was a special rule to cover this situation, as a War Engine the Ordinatus Krieg could be targetted independently. New stats: Speed 5cm Armour 4+ CC6+ FF6+ 2x Twin Heavy Stubbers - 30cm AP5+ (Left fire arc) 2x Twin Heavy Stubbers - 30cm AP5+ (Right fire arc) Super-heavy Siege Cannon: Block-Buster Shell - 10BP, 90cm, Indirect, Large Blast Template, Only Uses One Template. OR Bunker-Buster Shell - 1x MW2+, 120cm, TK(2xd3) Notes: DC5; Critical == Warlord Titan damage table. Thick Rear Armour; Inspiring; Fearless. |

I would say SlowFiring fits very well. |

Unless there was a special rule to cover this situation, as a War Engine the Ordinatus Krieg could be targetted independently. hmm, good point - was forgetting that to be the case.... I like the idea of the unit having an entourage though- makes it feel different to other war engines... Heres a random thought- How about a modular war engine? ie gun, ammo trailer, C&C vehicl;e and a void shield generator as a formation of 4 warengines. Damage to each WE could have a different effect perhaps... ps- like the new stats by the way! Particularly the bunker buster shell! |

Damage to each WE could have a different effect perhaps... I think such a thing could be better represented with a custom critical hit table rather than having a multi-WE formation. I'm vaguely thinking that DC-5 could be too many for a moderately-armoured (And presumably quite fragile) Siege Cannon... what about DC-3? |

An interesting model, but should those tracked vehicles on the side also be facing forward? It might be difficult for that vehicle to move in its current position. |

Come on J0k3r, I think it's not nearly big enough. !!! I kid, I kid,... it's friggin' 'Uge! And I love it. Someday when I get around to doing an AMTL army I'm hoping to scratch up some Ordinatus myself. Yours is great inspiration. |

(malika @ Oct. 12 2006,16:29) QUOTE An interesting model, but should those tracked vehicles on the side also be facing forward? It might be difficult for that vehicle to move in its current position. The idea is that they detach from the arms when it moves, the arms then swing in and they couple up again. They are meant to be both counterweights and shield generateor/power supply thingies. But then again, it is only a plastic model after all ![]() (Also I had some 6mm Panthers that were a bad buy- way too small for epic...!) |
