Hi guys,

Following on from finishing up my Eldar army, I felt I should put some effort into doing something with my terrain. For years I've used them loose on the battlefield, which although allowsed for some easy storage also meant that half the time they'd easily get knocked on the tabletop.

No more though!

I thought I'd show you what I did.

1. I glued the ruins to cardboard bases, cutting the cardboard with a bit of a margin.

2. I then glued sand into the interiors of the ruins, everywhere I thought there'd be bits of building if they blew up/fell down. I then sprayed the lot in grey primer.

3. I then painted around the outside of the ruins in good old Goblin Green. :)

4. Finally, I applied green flock to the green painted areas, oh, and glued in the cardboard levels. I finished off by giving them all a spray of matt varnish.

Quick and easy. The cardboard didn't warp at all with all the paint and glue?

Thankfully no. The cardboard I used was catfood and lego packaging, it was pretty solid stuff, but not too thick. Plus I think the ruins maybe helped it retain it's flatness.

We'll see how they do over time however....
