Hi all, I received a Forge World Tank Repair Facility in a trade. It's the real thing and complete, but it's in rough shape: poor paint and the super glue has broken down. I know it has some value, but you never see them any more, so what is this actually worth? I'm trying to decide if I want to keep it or move it on. Thanks. |

You realise paint can be stripped by dipping the model in one of various chemicals yeah? I think the process can sometimes melt glue too so you can then start from scratch. I have no clue what one is worth these days. |

Oh yeah, I've stripped lots of models over the years (usually because I screwed up). I don't mind doing that, but I'm also not in love with the thing (I don't really like these lighter resin pieces), so I'm trying to decide if selling it has more value to me. |

Really hard to say (I know that's not all that helpful). Personally I'd say the value is less than it was, only because there are a lot more options for 6mm scale terrain these days, and the FW stuff doesn't stand out in quality compared to other options the way it used to. To be honest if it were me I'd ignore the price element and first think about whether I wanted to incorporate it into my table and was prepared to put the effort into doing it in the next few weeks. It might be worth something, in a way that 2nd-hand terrain usually isn't, and so this is not an item just to hang on to on the off chance you might use it one day. If the price is really a major determinant in the answer to that then you can always list it on eBay with a reserve - what would it have to be worth for you to sell it? Also if price is a major factor, you may be better off stripping it anyway. Chances are if you're prepared to pay a lot for a terrain piece, time is worth more than the cash ![]() |

I sold one for 350 with no roof last year. A complete one went went for 400 not too long ago. |

Thanks for the responses. I may try to sell it off. It's okay, but I'm not in love with it, and I generally dislike resin (especially FW resin). It was just thrown into a trade I did, so it's not like I paid for it. Any sale is a profit! |
