As I mentioned over in my terrain thread, I played quite a bit of Space Marine (mainly 2nd ed, a little bit of 1st) back in the day. Probably one of the favourite games I ever played, and I deeply regret getting rid of my minis.
I used to play 40k 2nd ed as well, although I owned very few minis of it. I gave 40k 4th ed a bit of a spin years back, and built a decent-sized Eldar force, which I still have, but ultimately I ended up feeling it was far more a random die-fest than I remembered from 2nd ed.
I dabbled in modern micro armour, giving Challenger 2000 a spin (too hard to get a game together) and Fist Full of TOWs (despite the similarities to Epic, something didn't quite sit right).
A while back, I started looking for something to scratch the minis itch, ideally at Epic scale, and eventually stumbled across Polyversal. After a long, long wait, I still don't have my minis (my painted forces are finally on the way, though), but I remembered a couple years back that I had a bunch of Renegade Legion grav tanks floating around, and I picked up a few supplemental forces recently, and it dawned on me that I actually have enough minis to finally get a game together.
Then, just as I was about to schedule my very first opponent, we're in lock down.

But, I have kept painting, and might as well show off my efforts here.
These aren't awesomely done, but it doesn't take a great amount of skill to get 6mm minis that look good on the table.
