A good week or so a ago friend of mine sent me this picture:
Image
He was about to start his Imperial Fists.

This rekindled this excellent game which had faded a bit (lot) to the background.
(too many games and never enough time!)

This made me seek out my sizeable stash of epic I still have not painted.
We keep sending each other pictures of out progress so I figured that it might be nice to post them online too.

Partially since it adds incentive to keep painting until the army is done. ;)
After all; I also have a good chunk of Orks that scream for a paintjob.
Only my Eldar are in good shape really...

Note that is project is intended to get things done. Easy paintjobs. Quick n dirty.
Zero intention of competing for a best paint job. (not enough talent for that anyhow. :'()

The colour scheme was to be blue and gold. So I washed them blue to begin with:

The 4 tanks in the front are 2 hunters and 2 razorbacks
(Rhino's with added 'shapeways' bits.)

Post subject:  Day 2

Given that this was last weekend I had 2 good days of slapping a bit of pain on in between the usual drag of 'real life'.

And my first unit done.*

Next up some armour to support my grunts.

(the Reaver is far from done of course. He snuck into the picture and no one dared to oppose the mighty warmachine.

*= done except for basing. That'll be done when I finished all infantry to speed things up.

You might benefit from more exposure with a thread down in the 6mm section. I'm sure it can serve as inspiration to many lapsed (or lazy, cough me cough) gamers. Either way, that's a good start!

My start is posted here:
->here<-
But apparently this is the better part of the forum for this kind of thing.

tl; dr
I started once again with epic.
Marines needed a paintjob tis time around.

The goal is fast and furious. It needs to look good on the table. nothing more.
Get things done as it were.

Day 3
Testmodel Landraider:

Happy enough and got the unit done the same day.

Soon enough, the fine detail bug will bite and long gone will be the days of whole units painted in a day. Or maybe I'm just projecting. ;)

Stuff's looking good. I bet it'll all look superb on the tabletop!

Details? Perhaps. But first priority is getting a painted army.
After that I might be tempted to add some added details.

A good day all things considered.
Which is good considering I'll have no time to paint tomorrow.
