A few months ago I began reading an article series by Scutarri. His introduction to Epic Armageddon and quick painting guide made me dig out the rule book from storage and take another look.
I had tried reading it several times, each time really excited by the prospect of formations of tiny dudes, tanks and air support. unfortunately, something about the rules never clicked with me. I just didn't get them.
This time was different. Soon i had put in a £70ish order with Vanguard Minis, grabbing a start to a Space Marine force from their Novan Elite range.
I've decided to paint the army up as Hawk Lords, something distinctive on the table and a bit of interesting fluff.
Here is what I have painted up so far, a Bulwark Assault Transport (to stand in for a Thunderhawk) and some Assault troops to go inside.
Next up on the Painting table, 12 landspeeders, and the beginnings of some Terrain!
